Yup, the cheese and the bacon on top of the cookie, then melted a bit.....

The Damm Yankee Chili.....quickie version for the crock pot...

2 cans pinto beans....drained
1 can kidney beans with the juice
1 can favorite chili con carne
1 bottle chunky mexican salsa
1 can Heredia....it's a spicy mixture of green chiles, onion, tomato and garlic...don't need it but....
1 can sweet corn
1 pound fajita (basically thin strips of whatever kind of steak you like), chopped into 1" chunks and browned in olive oil and crushed garlic.

Combine meat, salsa in the pan you browned in, heat for a couple minutes, put it in the crock pot and add all the rest of the goodies.

Then, the super sekrit.....after it's hot, and you want to heat it and then low for a few hours, add about a half a cup or so of dark brown sugar, let it melt in, stir it up and eat with corn bread....

Oh, the cornbread. Just a box of mix from the store, follow the directions, but then add a small can of corn to the batter before you bake it....

Guaranteed yumms....There's also a slow way, from scratch, but you can figure that out when you have a day to prep.

Have fun!!

Okay, Wollf, stop holding out on us. That sounds like a good recipe to share with the rest of us folks.

Back to those chocolate chip cookies for a minute. Some of the moms were telling me they add chocolate chips to their homemade pancakes for a special treat for the kids now and again. Its a big hit!

Now that really sounds like an interesting meal. But I need to know if you are joshing me. Do you honestly put the bacon and cheese on top of the cookies or eat them on the side?

Whichever one of you dreamed up this meal wins the prize for creativity.

The only thing I like better than a man in the kitchen cooking is a man and his two cubs in the kitchen cooking together.

There is so much wonderful family bonding that takes place in the kitchen when preparing a meal Together.

Keep up all that wonderful Fathering that you are doing.

As a Single Dad I have to ensure that the Cubs stay fit and trim with healthy food and lots of outdoor activity....but once a month......All Heck breaks out at the Lair.

Ferinstance? Tonight's the night. We call it "Bad Eatin' Day".....Dinner is gonna be....

Large fresh baked Chocolate chip cookies, with a slice of swiss cheese and crisp fried bacon on top, microwaved to melty perfection, and a dribble of Maple Surple on top.

Sided with Bread and Butter Vlasic pickles....milk for them, a Corona for me........

Almost Heaven....you can actually feel your arteries crying in pain.....

I'm so glad you enjoyed the recipe! It's awfully delicious...I'm in the process of moving right now, so I don't have access to my usual food processor, but as soon as I get it back, I'm whipping up a batch.

This is certainly not your typical bread - and would not be a bread that everyone would enjoy but I felt it was worth sharing.
